Our Voices Were Heard!
Over 45 participants and staff from the Arc Westchester showed up in force at the New York Capitol in Albany on November 15th for a significant statewide rally. This event, spearheaded by The Arc New York, aimed to secure programs for people with developmental disabilities and push for fair compensation and cost of living wages for Direct Support employees. Wearing vibrant Arc orange and holding signs urging inclusion in the forthcoming budget cycle, each attendee contributed to a powerful collective voice. It was a day of solidarity, uniting with Arcs statewide to promote our shared cause.
