Early Intervention Evaluations:
The first step in exploring services is a multidisciplinary evaluation. Contace the Westchester County Department of Health (914-813-5094). The Children’s School for Early Development may be selected as an evaluator for your child. We would be happy to help you navigate these first steps! Preschool Evaluations:
The Children’s School for Early Development is a New York State approved preschool evaluation site. We are committed to providing families in Westchester County with information and support to you and your child.
A highly qualified team of professionals, including a psychologist, speech pathologist, special education teacher, occupational therapist, and/or physical therapist, will meet with you and your child at our centrally-located site in Hawthorne, NY to conduct a comprehensive preschool evaluation. Direct assessment of your child and valuable parent information are important. components of this process, and will be provided to you and your school district.
