The Parent Assistance Committee on Down Syndrome (PACDS) is a parent-led support network serving families in Westchester County.
Members have all experienced the power of parent-to-parent support, and are available to pass on that understanding and friendship to others. The goal of PACDS is to bring together parents of babies and toddlers with disabilities, primarily Down syndrome to enhance the social development of each child. Interactions engage the parents in play-based and developmentally appropriate educational activities with their children.
We run a series of evening parent workshops that run every academic year from October to April.
This support group is geared for families of children with autism spectrum disorder who are currently enrolled in our self-contained classes
