- The primary responsibility of the Community Living Support Professional is to teach skills and behaviors to maximize independence in activities of daily living and in a variety of community settings for a small caseload of persons who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and other special needs who live in a The Arc Westchester, NEXT for NEIGHBORS residence.
Responsibilities:
- The purpose of this position is to promote individuals’ health, wellbeing, and safety as well as their interests, rights and choices. Based upon the individuals’ needs and service plans, the NEXT for NEIGHBORS Community Living Support Professional provides training, guidance, counseling, direction, assistance and support to the individuals and advocates on their behalf.
Requirements:
- Requires a High School Diploma/GED, Associates Degree in Human Services or related field is preferred.
- Requires a valid NYS Driver’s License, and at least one-year experience working with children or adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. One year of similar human services experience may be substituted, such as work in the fields of child welfare or mental health or alcoholism/drug misuse.
- This position also requires a Professional Family Teaching Model Certification obtained within 12 months of employment
Pay/Salary:
- $18.14/HR
Direct Support Professionals – DAY SERVICES (Northern Westchester)

We are seeking motivated individuals to work with people with developmental disabilities in various settings, assisting them to gain independence and meet their goals and dreams. You must be energetic, hands-on, organized, and creative to provide safe and educational activities in various community locations throughout Westchester County.
A variety of positions are available for candidates with HS Diplomas/GED, Associates, and BA’s. Experience with I/DD population is welcomed! No experience? That’s ok, we train on the job!
Your Main Responsibilities will be: Provide director support and instruction in a responsible, respectful, and caring manner. Complete documentation according to all applicable regulations. Maintain open communication with individuals, families, residential providers, co-workers, and supervisors. Drive in a safe manner meeting all applicable laws and maintain vehicle in good working conditions.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, Valid Driver’s License for at least 2 years. Fully Vaccinated from COVID-19. Ability to work Day Shift Monday-Friday
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Salary: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Duties include assisting individuals with their leisure time, health care, safety, and self care needs in residential settings and in the community.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver’s license for minimum 3 years. (Note: 2-year NYS Driver’s license with no points will also be considered)
Pay/Salary:
- $16.00/HR
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS – DSP: Full-Time/Part-Time
