As summer begins, our residences are always looking for fun ways to get outside, and engage with one another, even in their own backyard!

Last week, on a beautiful sunny day, residents of our Pemart home in Peekskill held a very special tree planting ceremony. The ceremony was made possible by Helen Garcia, mother of one of the long time residents. Ms. Garcia donated spectacular flowers and a gorgeous Japanese Maple tree for the group to plant in their garden. Under the supervision of residential staff members, including Program Coordinator Steven Bell, the group worked together to plant the tree.

We would like to thank Ms. Garcia for her thoughtful donation to the residence’s garden, and for her continued support of all those who live there!
