Autism Acceptance Month 2025
April marks Autism Acceptance Month, a special month to recognize and embrace the diverse talents and contributions of the people we support. As we continue to fulfill our mission, we can further educate our communities on how we effectively support individuals with Autism.
With Autism being the fastest-growing developmental disability in the United States, affecting approximately 1 in 36 children, our commitment at The Arc Westchester is evident in our mission and values. Throughout this month and beyond, we embrace people with their unique talents, ambitions, and dreams, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives. We are dedicated to finding innovative ways to support individuals with autism, enabling them to succeed and thrive.
We will highlight more activities all month long!

The Children’s School for Early Development
In celebration of Autism Acceptance Month, our Children’s School for Early Development held a school-wide spirit week where they took part in a weeklong celebration of neurodiversity. Smiles and happiness were in every classroom.
The teachers, teachers aides and students wore blue in recognition of World Autism Day. Learn more about our Children’s School here.
