Supporting Each Other & the Community

PACDS

The Parent Assistance Committee on Down Syndrome (PACDS) is a parent-led support network serving families in Westchester County.

Members have all experienced the power of parent-to-parent support, and are available to pass on that understanding and friendship to others. The goal of PACDS is to bring together parents of babies and toddlers with disabilities, primarily Down syndrome to enhance the social development of each child. Interactions engage the parents in play-based and developmentally appropriate educational activities with their children.

Parent Workshop Series

We run a series of workshops facilitated by our multi-disciplinary team for families based on topics of interest including speech and language development, sensory integration, social-emotional learning and play, among others.

In addition, a variety of support groups and social opportunities for parents are offered throughout the year for all family members.
