Making a “Racket” at our First Annual Tennis Mixer!
The Arc Westchester Foundation held their 1st Annual “Raising a Racket” Tennis Mixer on Friday, May 3, at Lifetime Athletic in Harrison, NY. The evening was an opportunity to raise awareness and funds to support programs and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over 40 people attended in this inaugural event.
Guests played a Round Robin tennis match run by Tennis Pro Andrew Prince and Ryan Berthod, Manager at Lifetime Athletic. Players and banquet guests mingled and relaxed, enjoying casual dining in the lovely lounge overlooking the beautiful tennis court. It was a great chance to make some new friends. Everyone participated in the raffle and auction that included some wonderful items including a Fitbit, Yankee Tickets, Designer Handbags and more.
Laura Saggese, Board member and long-time supporter of The Arc Westchester, graciously spearheaded this new event. Our inaugural tennis mixer was made possible by several generous sponsors – USPTA, Wegman’s, Country Bank and Alix and Ruedi Laager. Our sincere thanks to them all.
“Whether you are here tonight for the love of Laura Saggese, the love of tennis, or LifeTime Athletic…our hope is that you will return next year for the love of The Arc Westchester, and bring more friends and family!” said Nancy Patota, Executive Director , The Arc Westchester Foundation.
