Early Intervention Evaluations:
The first step in exploring services is a multidisciplinary evaluation. Contact the Westchester County Department of Health (914-813-5094). The Children’s School for Early Development would be happy to help you navigate these first steps! We provide Early Intervention Service Coordination for eligible infants, toddlers and their families. Preschool Evaluations:
The Children’s School for Early Development is a New York State approved preschool evaluation site for Westchester County preschool students ages 3-5. We are committed to providing families with information and support as you move through the preschool evaluation process though your school district committee on preschool special education (CPSE). There is no out-of-pocket expense for families accessing these evaluations with us through their school district CPSE.
Our highly qualified evaluation team of professionals, including a evaluation coordinator, psychologist, speech pathologist, special education teacher, occupational therapist, and/or physical therapist, who will meet with you and your child at our centrally-located site in Hawthorne, NY to conduct comprehensive preschool evaluations.
Parent information, reporting, and direct assessment of your child are important and valuable components. Our team will provide information and support to you as you navigate the process.
