Overview

Prep4Success offers young adults preparing to exit the school system or who have finished high school an exciting opportunity to practice, develop and enhance skills for independence. The curriculum fosters an environment for skills development and continued practice, bridging the gap between high school and young adulthood. Prep4Success offers a unique and flexible structure with sign-up opportunities throughout the year!

What is Prep4Success?

Prep4Success is a curriculum-based respite service for young adults interested in cultivating and maintaining skills for independence in adulthood. Prep4Success is especially meaningful for young adults currently at home, without services, attending a part-time program, or unemployed. Prep4Success is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking new opportunities to establish a routine, explore interests, and build connections with peers. The Prep4Success curriculum cultivates independence through hands-on learning, group discussion, demonstration, and modeling. While the lessons and activities will vary, common themes are explored each week, including social skills, advocacy, technology and app exploration, work readiness, identifying preferences and interests, setting goals, and more!

The Prep4Success structure is comparable to higher education schedules by offering sessions and accelerated opportunities based on the season. Activities include hands-on learning experience, roleplaying, group discussions, educational games, and more. For a description of course offerings and topics, see the Prep4Success course catalog (below).
