ASSISTANT TEACHER
Assistant Teacher needed for early childhood program serving children with disabilities in Westchester County. Job duties include play and learning activities in a preschool classroom working under the direction of the Teacher. Experience working with young children and knowledge of developmental disabilities preferred.
Requires HS Diploma and NYS Teacher’s Assistant Certification, college is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Description/Responsibilities:
- The Arc Westchester’s Children’s School for Early Development, which provides services to children with developmental disabilities ages 0-5, is seeking a NYS Registered Physical Therapist.
Requirements:
- Requires BA degree, NYS Physical Therapy License and experience working with children as a physical therapist.
Pay/Salary Range:
- $25.27 – 27.47/HR
RESPITE COUNSELOR
The Respite Counselor will supervise and assist teens and adults on a scheduled recreation/respite activity which can include after work, after school activities, trips and school vacation programs. Requires High School Diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver’s license for minimum 2 years.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS (DSP) – PER DIEM
Responsibilities:
- Duties include assisting individuals with their leisure time, health care, safety, and self care needs in residential settings and in the community.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED and a valid NYS driver’s license for minimum 3 years. (Note: 2-year NYS Driver’s license with no points will also be considered)
Pay/Salary:
- $15.00/HR
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS – DSP: Full-Time/Part-Time

REGISTERED NURSE SUPERVISOR
Coordinate and supervise nursing and healthcare services provided in agency residential programs. Assure compliance of all relevant nursing regulations and policies, practice and protocols. Requires an education, and a diploma or degree in professional nursing, in accordance with NYS Education Law (NYS Education Law, Article 139, Nursing, 69050. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Master’s degree preferred, and at least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required. Requires current NYS license as a Professional Registered Nurse; experience working as a nurse in OPWDD approved program preferred.
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE – LPN
The LPN provides nursing services to individuals of the residences and programs assigned. Promotes good health, prevent illnesses and ensure medical care is provided to individuals. Must be a self-starter with strong nursing skills. Organization skills, kind and compassionate, willing to work and collaborate with the team. Requires an education and a certificate in Practical Nursing in accordance with NYS Education Law. Requires active NYS license as a Practical Nurse, and a valid NYS Driver’s license. 3-5 years of experience preferred.
REGISTERED NURSE – RN
The RN provides nursing services to individuals of the residences and programs assigned, assists in the training of other Registered Nurses and department staff. Promotes good health, prevent illnesses and ensure medical care is provided to individuals. Acts as a resource to Nursing Supervisor and administration regarding health care issues. Requires Graduation from an accredited college or university nursing program, Bachelor’s degree preferred; current NYS license as a Professional Registered Nurse; experience working as a nurse in OPWDD approved program preferred.
