Assistant Executive Director of Human Resources
Description:
- The AED of Human Resources is a senior executive responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR plans and policies to support The Arc Westchester values, mission and vision. This position leads the HR operations, and ensures compliance with employment laws, while also focusing on employee relations and fostering a positive work environment.
- To be effective in this role, the AED of Human Resources must possess a diverse skill set that spans analytical thinking, technical expertise, and emotional intelligence. Duties include but are not limited to the following areas: Strategic HR Planning, Recruitment, Employee Relations, Salary Administration, Benefits Administration, and oversight of the Human Resources Information Systems. Requirements: Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, or related field; relevant HR Professional Certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) highly valued..

Requirements:
- Ten (10) years of human resource management experience with a strong understanding of HR principles and best practices with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, strategic thinking and ability to implement HR strategies, strong understanding of employee relations and conflict resolution, deep understanding of relevant employment laws, policies and regulations; ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems, strong negotiation skills.
Salary/Pay:
- $76.93hr
GUARDIANSHIP ADVOCATE
Description:
- Provide advocacy services for those individuals for whom Arc of Westchester serves as Corporate Guardian through NYSARC, Inc. and will assist in all outreach and program planning efforts as required.
Requirements:
- Requires a valid NYS driver’s license and one(1) year of experience in Human Services with an understanding of the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proven ability to write and speak effectively and ability to follow policy and program requirements of the Department and the Agency.
- Ability to use various computer applications and a basic understanding of database applications and internet. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with individuals, families and service provider.
Salary/Pay:
- $20.67/hr
