Opportunities for Advocacy
January 14, 2020 at 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
This meeting is open to anyone who participates in our Residential and/or Day Habilitation programs!
Advocacy is one of the most important ways to ensure that people with intellectual disabilities have choices in their services and direct their own lives. It is important that each person we support understands their human rights and the responsibilities that go with them. Our hope is that these meetings will help to strengthen and further build the Advocacy movement at The Arc Westchester, with more individuals will step forward to lend their voices to directing the future of our agency.
It is an essential part of our culture at The Arc Westchester, and we want you to get involved! Join our Coordinator of Person-Centered and Cognitive Supports, Jordan Jankus, as he and others host an interactive meeting where you can learn the essential skills of advocacy!
If you wish to attend, please contact Jordan Jankus at: jjankus@arcwestchester.org or call (914).495.4474
