The Arc Westchester Welcomes Paul H. Torres as Deputy Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer
Westchester County, N.Y. (December 13, 2023) – The Arc Westchester today announced it has appointed Paul H. Torres as Deputy Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Mr. Torres will oversee program operations, including Residential, Day, and Community Innovations services, as well as the Children’s School for Early Development. Mr. Torres will also be an integral in the oversight of the nonprofit’s Strategic Plan and overall operations.

Mr. Torres has spent more than 30 years working in the nonprofit human services field, including nearly two decades in executive leadership at AHRC Suffolk, Volunteers of America Greater New York and JCCA. In 2019 he joined the Arc New York family, becoming the CEO of AHRC Suffolk at one of the most difficult times in the organization’s history. Faced with financial, operational and staff morale challenges, he was very successful in stabilizing systems and creating team cohesion.
Mr. Torres holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hamilton College where he completed an undergraduate study abroad program with the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University. He is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is trained in various evidence-based models of practice. He lives in Westchester and is an active member and the ex-Captain of the ladder company of his volunteer fire department.
