March 17th was especially memorable this year, thanks to Sam’s of Gedney Way, which sponsored a fundraising event on St. Patrick’s Day. The restaurant generously pledged 10% of the evening’s proceeds to our organization. Guests were treated to traditional food and live music by local guitarist and former Director of Development at The Arc Westchester, Dennis Power. The event was a sell-out, drawing a diverse crowd that included residents and staff from our Del Rey home in Mount Vernon and Mamaroneck Manor in White Plains, as well as participants from Day Services and staff with their families.

We are deeply grateful to Peter and Karen Herraro for opening their restaurant to our community and for introducing their patrons to the mission and vision of The Arc Westchester.
