Regeneron and The Arc Westchester team up for A Day of Doing Good!
Recently, The Arc Westchester hosted a Regeneron Day of Doing Good, a day of companywide engagement from members of the Regeneron staff, with coordination through Volunteer NY!
On October 25th, 17 Regeneron volunteers converged at our Ann Manzi Center in Mount Kisco for a day full of learning, laughs, and pumpkin decorating! Nearly 70 individuals from both our Senior and Youth Connection participated in the “Making Connections” project.
Volunteers arrived at the Ann Manzi early in the morning and were quickly welcomed by staff and participants. After exchanging greetings over coffee and donuts, volunteers and individuals were split into groups to work on their Halloween themed pumpkins. Throughout the day, volunteers and program participants alike had an opportunity to work side by side and socialize as they created unique, fun, and not so scary designs. Additionally, volunteers and program participants had the chance to take photos together at one of the four photo booth stations throughout the Ann Manzi Center.
As the day rolled on, Regeneron volunteers also had the opportunity to take a tour of the Ann Manzi Center and grounds. The group got a chance to learn about our community garden, volunteer efforts within the community, the creation of the Ann Manzi Center, and the larger scope of supports and services administered by The Arc Westchester.
“I thought the day was very impactful for the volunteers from Regeneron and VolunteerNY! as well as The Arc Westchester individuals who participated at the Ann Manzi Center”, said Todd Bazzini – Director of Volunteer Serivces and Fund Development.
“I can’t thank Regeneron enough for this opportunity and the motivation and inspiration they showed our program participants throughout the day. I’m excited for my first corporate event to be a success for The Arc Westchester, and I really look forward to many more opportunities to build relationships within Westchester’s corporate communities and local business.”
Regeneron’s Director of Talent Acquisition, and additional organizer of the day’s event, had this to say:
“The Regeneron team had such a fun and rewarding experience partnering with The Arc Westchester for Day for Doing Good! What an amazing opportunity to meet some incredible people and know that we played a small role in helping to brighten some of their days. Many of us are looking forward to continuing our partnership and participating in other volunteer opportunities beyond the Day for Doing Good!”
We are so thankful for the wonderful group of volunteers that participated. Everyone was truly motivated and their extraordinary hearts provided a positive social experience for our individuals and staff.
