Education Coordinator

Description:
- The primary professional responsibilities of Children’s School for Early Development’s Education Coordinator will be to bring evidence-based practices into all classrooms through mentoring and direct work with teachers regarding instructional practices and positive behavior supports, recommend, develop, and coordinate educational design, and assess the training and professional development needs of the educational staff. The collective goal of each of these responsibilities is to increase student engagement, improve student developmental outcomes, and build teacher capacity throughout our program. Requires
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Special Education. Minimum of five years’ full time paid experience as a special education teacher with additional supervisory/administrative experience.
- Minimum of five years’ full time paid experience as a special education teacher with additional supervisory/administrative experience. Requires NYS Special Education Certification, NYS SBL Certification desirable.
- Ability to work one-on-one with teachers as well as oversee the wider professional development effort of our preschool program. Ability to work collaboratively with administration, psychologists, social workers, and any other appropriate team members on program design and the implementation of instructional practices.
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships in order to interact effectively with coworkers, employees, consumers, families and outside contacts.
Salary/Pay:
- $26.52hr
