Description

  • The Coordinator of Person-Centered Supports assists the organization by promoting excellence in person-centered services and supports for people to achieve their personal goals and desired outcomes. This position provides the lead support in promoting advocacy initiatives for children and adults receiving services and their families consistent with The Arc Westchester’s mission, vision and values. This position also promotes the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) values in supervision of Personal Outcome Measures (POMs) interview process. Serves on The Arc Westchester’s Behavior Support Plan Committee, and also trains staff on how to support people with expressing their rights.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s Degree preferred. Understanding of person/family centered system and practice and knowledge of developmental disabilities service system. Ability to teach/facilitate staff training and planning meetings as required. Sound knowledge of developmental disability services system; minimum of 5 years’ experience in I/DD or related field.
