The Arc Westchester’s Champion Employer, The Mines Press, Honored by
The Arc New York
Committed to an inclusive workforce for over 25 years
Westchester County, N.Y. (September 10, 2025) – The Arc Westchester announced that one of its longstanding employment partners, The Mines Press in Cortlandt Manor, was honored with The Arc New York’s 2025 Employer Recognition Award. The Award was presented to Steven Mines, President of The Mines Press, during an awards ceremony on August 27th.
“We are grateful to The Mines Press for their commitment to building a truly inclusive workforce and for embracing the contributions of people with developmental disabilities,” stated Tibi Guzmán, CEO of The Arc Westchester. “This family-owned business began as a small storefront in Manhattan and is now one of the region’s premier full-service printing and mailing companies. Twenty-five years ago, we partnered with The Mines Press to identify employment opportunities for people we serve, and currently they employ three people with developmental disabilities, thanks in large part to this collaboration. We are honored to have them as a partner and thank The Arc New York for recognizing their impact on our community,” Guzmán added.
The Arc New York Employer Recognition Award is a yearly distinction that provides Chapters in New York with an opportunity to recognize an individual, organization, or business that has demonstrated outstanding support in providing job opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. The Mines Press was recognized alongside three other inclusive employers in New York.
In his acceptance speech, Steve Mines, President of The Mines Press stated, “This award recognizes us for a great work environment, but what many people may not realize is that our work environment is enhanced immeasurably for everyone here because of The Arc Westchester’s presence on a daily basis. While we appreciate the recognition, it is really all of you and the Arc community who are making this work for us and our local businesses.”
